Coco Bodu Hithi Review: A Piece of Heaven in the Maldives

This month we’ve been at Coco Bodhu Hithi, a luxury resort located in the Maldives. It was an amazing experience and now, we’ll tell you everything about our Coco Bodhu Hithi experience.

Known for its abundant sea-life, tropical greenery, and beautiful natural beaches, Maldives is the ideal destination for a unique experience.

Coco Bodu Hithi is around 40 minutes’ (by speedboat) transfer from Malé airport. The luxury resort is located  in the middle of the Indian Ocean, on the north Maldives atoll. The resort has chosen to run on its own time zone, one hour ahead of the capital – it allows their guests to enjoy longer afternoons.

At the airport, a Coco Bodu Hithi host received us and took care of our luggage from the airport to our room. Both the Coco Bodu Hithi airport host, boat captain and its crew were friendly and polite. The boat trip was relaxing, overviewing the ocean and the clear skies of the Maldives.

On arrival, there was a team ready to give us a friendly welcome. We met our private butler, Joey, who explained everything related to the facilities and guided us to our water villa.

The resort has an open-air check-in desk, from where you can oversee the turquoise waters, and hear nature’s melody while making your check-in.

There are 100 villas on Coco Bodu Hithi resort, which are discreetly hidden by the vegetation. The island includes three types of water villas. This time we choose for an escape water villa.

Escape Water  Villas

We stayed in an escape water villa. An amazing choice – 5 minutes walking distance from the check-in desk.  The water Villa is spacious and allowed us to have a privileged view through the Indian ocean. The Water villa includes a living room, bedroom, a bathroom.

Furthermore, on the escape water villas, we had a terrace with a private infinity pool, where we could enjoy drinks, read or spot all kinds of fishes while being sun-kissed. From the terrace, we could go downstairs to snorkel, or just swim.

Wine & Dine

There are seven bars and restaurants: Air, Aqua, Breeze, Latitude, Stars, Tsuki, Wine Loft or choose for IN-Villa meals. The resort really has a wide variety of food styles.

At Air restaurant, you can enjoy fresh fruits while overlooking the resort infinity pool.

The breakfast at Air, has a wide variety of choices, from plenty of pastries, fresh fruits & juices, English breakfast, baked vegetables, eggs cooked in any style, cereals. Whether you prefer a light our a complete breakfast, there is certainly a tasty meal for you.

Although you feel you are in a quiet distant place, there are plenty of activities you can do: a moonlight/ sunset cruise, a dolphins cruise, excursions, snorkeling, diving,  kayaking, jetski, private cinema, it’s up to you.

Besides that, there are no better views for a massage, than Coco Bodu Hithi spa. We tried the massage, and it’s really worth the time. Near Coco Bodu Hithi Spa, is the gym, where it’s possible to workout with incredible views.

The Coco Bodhu Hithi Experience

Finally,  and overviewing our Coco Bodhu Hithi experience, we had an amazing relaxing moment, with paradise views, and wonderful nature smells and sounds. It’s definitely a destination we’d suggest if you’re looking for a retreat experience in the Maldives.
